Preparing for your US exams and attending regular training can sometimes be exhausting. Add that to the long hours of work inside the hospital and what you get are nurses with the energy of a worn-out miner searching for his gold.
So here comes HCCA IC Joanne Espinosa to the rescue! Last June 18, HCCA launched its first Sportsfest to help pump up the juices of our cebu nurses as they focus on their American dream. The excitement that followed was so contagious that a considerable number of new nurses joined HCCA to be part of our dynamic Cebu family.
The highlight of the event was the cheerleading showdown between the blue and yellow teams, which is reminiscent of the "Bring It On" movie series.
Both men and women participated in several games such as basketball, volleyball and badminton. As a grand finale, HCCA threw a Hawaiian party where the nurses received rewards for their achievements.
Of course, Sir Joe got the chance to wear his favorite outfit - a Hawaiian shirt!
