Last week, the Emergency Nursing Supply Relief Act (HR 2536) was introduced by Reps. Wexler (D-FL) and Sensenbrenner (R-WI). While this is another measure in its legislative procedure, it is a critical first step. As an American approach, it has designed to insure that legislation is appropriately well thought-out.
The Bill will be submitted to the Committee on the Judiciary. That Committee may refer it to subcommittee(s) and its process is upon complete discretion of the leaders of that committee.

August 2008
House Resolution 5924 was approved by the United States House of Representatives' Immigration Sub Committee on August 1, 2008. The next step for the Resolution is review by the House Judiciary Committee, after its August recess (their expected return is September 8).
The Subcommittee approval is significant because it shows the United States Senate the positive support of the Resolution by the House. This action also brings the measure one step further along in the legislative process.
