giving back to the community

One of HCCA Philippines' goals is to help Filipino nurses hone their skills in preparation for the competitive nursing environment in America. Most often than not, the Philippine office participates in various programs, activities, and projects that contributes to the nursing industry.

Outreach Programs

Some nurses are but so compassionate about providing care to other people, whether on or off duty; these are the kind of nurses that many employers are looking for. We are proud to say that HCCA nurses are compassionate. With various calamities that hit many provinces, HCCA nurses’ enthusiasm in reaching out the affected communities to help in any way is contagious. Who wouldn’t be proud to become one of them?

Conference sponsorship and lecture series

Conferences and symposia provide many professionals updates concerning their field. Most conferences and lecture series here in the Philippines are costly that sometimes participants are compelled to ignore them. This is the very reason why HCCA Internal’s Chief Nursing Officer sees to it that we hold a free seminar for registered nurses every time she visits the Philippines. In this seminar, HCCA nurses and practicing nurses from various hospitals are invited to receive the latest in the nursing industry and US nursing practice.

Special Events

One of the perks of being an HCCA nurse is that you are invited to many activities that enhance you professionally and personally. Besides meeting and gaining new friends in the HCCA nurses’ community, our activities guarantee a way for you to enjoy and unwind after a day’s hard work.

Skills Fair

Another channel of HCCA’s corporate social involvement to the nursing students is a skill’s fair popularly known to University of Santo Tomas students as Horizons, Nursing Skills Fair. Horizons is a nursing skill enhancement program done every year in cooperation with University of Santo Tomas. Now on its 4th year, many students who are already in the nursing field are glad that they were part of this exclusive activity for they were given a chance to take a glimpse of how US nursing practice is done.
